Journey to Hope has offered dozens of groups on a variety of topics over the years. While our current groups may not cover some of these topics, we'd love to hear from you! Let us know if any of these groups are of interest and we can discuss potential alignment with current offerings or bringing one of these courses back!


8-week group | 1.5 hours each week

Does your life feel like it's out of control? Perhaps you feel like you have to say yes to everyone's requests. Maybe you find yourself readily taking responsibility for others' feelings and problems. Or perhaps you focus so much on being loving and unselfish that you've forgotten your own limits and limitations. Or maybe it's all of the above.


Burnout and Recovery
5-week group | 2 hours each week

Ever feel overwhelmed and exhausted by everything you need to do and yet still worry you're not doing enough?


Join us to figure out what wellness can look like in your actual/real life, confront the barriers that stand between you and your own well-being, put those barriers in context, and map out paths around, over, or through them - and succeed!

Chronic Pain

Ever feel isolated because your illness is invisible to the people around you, even your loved ones? Find support & resources from the American Chronic Pain Association and other people managing life with chronic pain.

Coping with Grief through the Holidays
2nd Tuesday of November, annually | 7-8:30 PM

Celebrating the holidays following a loss can present new challenges. Learn how to honor your grief while supporting your well-being during the holiday season. This single session covers coping strategies developed through lived experience. Leave with new ways to manage the range of emotions that the holidays bring out when we’re grieving.


Courage & Resiliency
7-week group | 2 hours each week

Dr. Brené Brown’s Daring Way & Rising Strong curricula provide us with resiliency strategies that help us recognize when we’re hooked by emotion and what to do when we are. Get clear of baggage you carry from prior jobs, stop letting your worst moments define you, and live into your wholehearted self! Show Up | Be Seen | Live Brave


Dear Anxiety, Let’s Break Up!
8-week group | 2 hours each week

Choose faith over fear and move from a life marked by anxiety to one of peace and abundance through this group that will use a devotional book written from both a medical and biblical perspective.

8-week group | 1.5 hours each week | $40

Find help and healing for parents of estranged adult children. Break free from the emotional pain and move forward in your life. Facilitated by Janice Dovel, ATR-BC, LISW.


Everyday Spirituality
6-week group | 1.5 hours each week

To see the sacred in everyday life we need a new alphabet, one designed for spiritual literacy. Each week we cover a different aspect of spirituality and how to apply it to daily life through inspiring videos, readings, journaling, discussion, and reflection.


5 weeks | 1.5 hours each week

Learn how to take the hook out through Archbishop Desmond Tutu’s materials on forgiveness to uncover your personal path for forgiving others and yourself, liberating yourself into all that you can be!


Gifts of Imperfection
6-week group | 2 hours each week

This experiential workshop explores the 10 Guideposts for Wholehearted Living from Brené Brown’s book of the same name. By working the process, you can move from “What will people think?” to “I am imperfect, and I am enough.”


Gratitude & Joy
6-week group | 1 hour each week

One of the best ways to manage life’s challenges, hurts, and disappointments is to look for the unexpected joys/blessings in our daily lived experiences. Discover practices that support your desire for a healthy, more grounded, and inspired life.


Meaningful Life Toolkit: Science-based practices for leading a meaningful life
6-week group | 1.5 hours each week

Discover science-based practices for living a meaningful life to foster a thriving, resilient, and compassionate life. Learn why each practice is important, how to do it, why it works, and the primary research to support it. Put the science of well-being into practice!


6-week group | 1.5 hours each week

We all experience grief, but it can oftentimes feel isolating, as though no one “gets” what we are experiencing. Discover your strength and ability to recover in this group, where we will focus on the present moment and the freedom that comes when we refuse to allow ourselves to get caught up in “what ifs” and fears that loss presents.


The High 5 Habit
6 weeks | 2 hours each week

Take control of your life with one simple habit and overcome self-doubt, self-criticism, and “stuck-ness.” Mel Robbins’ transformational approach to changing how we show up in the world includes the neuroscience behind why the High 5 works. Leave with a way to harness it for good!


Holistic Health & Wellness
6 weeks | 1.5 hours each week

Learn to manage your physical, mental, and spiritual fitness using practice traditions that have been used throughout the ages. Guided imagery, Healing Touch, and Pal Dan Gum are just a few of the modalities we were study and learn to use.


Job Search: Accelerator
6-week group | 2 hours each week

When you join this cohort, you will receive individualized coaching based on where you are in your search. Find resources, connections, and accountability in the process. You will also have a team to support you, encourage you, and share in the joys as you go, knowing that you are not alone in the job search wilderness.

This is for You IF you are ready to:

  • Make commitments each week to achieve YOUR personal goals

  • Be held accountable to YOUR commitments, and

  • Be dedicated to making serious progress toward YOUR next position.

You will set milestones in weeks 2, 4, and 6, and achieving them means the net fee to work with our coaches is $25. It starts with a $100 deposit, of which you can earn back $75 by meeting your goals.


4-week group | 1.5 hours each week

LinkedIn is one of the premier job search tools out there; yet, for all of its importance in your job search, it is difficult to even know where to start, how to build, or optimize a stellar profile. Join this workshop to either start or perfect your profile so that it:

  • Is optimized for LinkedIn Corporate Recruiter

  • Showcases what you want to be known and found for searches

  • Reflects the best of YOU to the world!


Marketing YOU
4-week group | 1.5 hours each week

This is a hands-on, interactive workshop that provides you the opportunity to craft your own message, tap into the wisdom of the group, and practice your pitch to develop a well-crafted marketing campaign for yourself. You’ll leave with concrete tools to use immediately in your networking activities, and you'll feel more confident in approaching others with the “right” things to say.


4-week group | 1.5 hours each week

This is a program for anyone who is in a “wrong fit” job, actively seeking a new position, exploring volunteer opportunities, or who would like to understand themselves better. Your participation in this group will: 1.) Affirm who you are and provide strong language to describe what you uniquely bring to the world and the job market, 2.) Provide directed reflection on your life and work experiences, which will help you to have a better sense of what makes a position a “good fit” for you, and 3.) Expose you to a range of potential careers & volunteer activities, based on your strengths, for consideration as you work to “right fit” your career/life. Participants take the StrengthsFinder 2.0 assessment to help them on the journey. Anyone who has already taken SF2.0 should use the original results. 


Social Media Branding
6-week group | 2 hours each week

Today, first impressions are formed online; and we know how critical they are for your job search! Career success, therefore, is linked to how well you master digital branding.

Just showing up in a Google search isn't enough; your bits-and-bytes brand needs to be congruent with your flesh-and-bones brand. Learn how to take control of your brand with an integrated social media strategy that differentiates you from your job search competition. Learn how to use the right combination of social media and online tools to demonstrate what makes you great so you are on the radar of those who are making decisions about you. We'll use a 360 assessment to learn what your brand is (from the outside in) - and then create your marketing magnet on LinkedIn and other social media. Led by Certified Social Media Branding Analyst, Diane Kinsella. Don't be left behind in today's world of skim readers - get your messaging right!


Living Courageously with my body image
8-week group | 2 hours each week

The Daring Way™ offers you a pathway into a wholehearted life of greater joy, courage, gratitude, and authenticity. This experience will help you quiet your inner critic, embrace your imperfections, and own your birthright of worthiness. You will learn how to gather the courage to live bravely, show compassion towards self and others, and cultivate meaningful connections. If you desire more of these things, then this experience is for you!


Medicare Made Clear
Single, 1 hour session in fall

Whether you’re just starting to navigate the Medicare system – either for yourself or for a loved one – or perhaps you’re interested in making changes during the Open Enrollment Period, this session will provide you with the information you need to move forward. Come prepared with questions!


Mess Mender
Workshop Series | 1 hour sessions

Meet Polly Giblin: a professional organizer of thoughts and things! Polly writes, in her introduction, "I have always been a fan of transformation. Now What? 90 Days to a New Life Direction
10-week group | 2 hours each week

Join us for this nationally acclaimed coaching program and discovery process that will enable you to decide what you want/need/were created to do next. Individual coaching, accountability, and reflective exercises, all combine to enable you to take your dreams and turn them into reality. Perfect for those in career transitions, looking ahead to retirement, or anyone looking to get unstuck in some area of life.


Restoring Well-Being
5-week group | 1 hour each session

This class is based on the work of Susan David and Christian Moore. Whether you are trying to restore your equilibrium or just trying to shore up your flagging good habits, this group will give you new insights into how the pandemic has impacted you emotionally and practical tips for finding a better path for yourself. This is a highly interactive workshop.


Retirement Coaching
6-week group | 2 hours each week

Beyond the dollars…what do you need to think about before or as you retire? Join us to explore six different, transformative considerations to make your transition into retirement and life in retirement totally rewarding.


Rising Strong
8-week group | 2 hours each week

Rising Strong is a program about what it takes to get back up and how owning our stories of struggle gives us the power to write a daring new ending…and live the authentic life we want...or land the job we really want! Struggle can be our greatest call to courage and the clearest path to a wholehearted life.


Steady U
8-week group | 2 hours each week

Did you know falls are the leading cause of injury-related hospitalization and death among Ohioans aged 65 and older? Or, that falls are NOT a normal part of aging? Most falls CAN be prevented! Join us for this workshop, presented in partnership with the Council on Aging, learn to view falls and fear of falling as controllable, set realistic goals for increasing activity, and change your environment to reduce fall risk factors. This program is for you if: you do not do things you used to enjoy because you fear falling, you want to improve your flexibility, balance, and strength, you have fallen in the past, or you are concerned about falls. Dress comfortably for roughly 25 minutes of sitting/standing exercising that goes along with this great educational program, led by people just like you!
